The phalaenopsis, or "moth orchid", is known for its large butterfly shaped flowers on a gracefully arched flower spike. Phalaenopsis can come in many colors including white, white with red lip, pink, yellow, spot, stripe and novelty. They are a perfect indoor houseplant, with low light requirement and flowers that can last 3 months or more at a time.
