Marty left his practice as a litigation attorney to open Worldwide Orchids in 1991. He was born in Buffalo, NY and raised in New Jersey. He received his bachelors degree from Duke University and his law degree from Vanderbilt University before moving to Los Angeles to practice law. Scott Taylor (Chairman)
Scott joined Worldwide Orchids in 2000 when his company KSO Wholesale Orchids merged with Worldwide. Before starting KSO, Scott was the owner and CEO of Encore Data Services in New York. He has also served as a vice president of Chase Manhattan Bank. Scott is a graduate of The Citadel with a degree in Business Administration. Managers: Doug Watson (General Manager)
Doug joined Worldwide Orchids in 2000 after running Gemstone Orchids for many years. Doug is an accredited judge in the American Orchid Society and a nationally recognized orchid breeder. David Roth (National Sales Manager)
David began his retail career at Macys and after 10 years in various executive positions, he left to form his own recruiting business specializing in the placement of retail executives. In 1990 with over 50 offices in major cities across the U.S., David sold the business giving him the opportunity to join his son Marty in the formative years of Worldwide Orchids. Brad Maxey (Facilities Manager)
Brad joined Worldwide in the KSO merger. In addition to his role as facilities manager, Brad is an experienced grower. Prior to the merger his focus was in rose growing and in hydroculture. Sales: Missy Watson ( office manager )
Missy is most likely the voice you will here when you call Worldwide Orchids. She joined the company in 2002. Millie Roth (Documents Manager)
Millie has been with WWO for over 8 years. Before that, she devoted years of her life to raising a wonderful son (see Marty above) Growing Operations: Edilberto Matias (Foreman)
Edilberto joined Worldwide in 1992 and now takes responsibility for about 40 employees. He oversees all order fulfillment and plant care. Jeff Swain (quality control manager)
Jeff has been with Worldwide since 1995. He currently heads up our quality control division.
