Stage 1: In spike. No buds are showing yet. The plant is 4+ weeks from the first flower opening. Stage 2: Tight Bud. Buds have formed, but they are in early development. The plant is about 2 to 3 weeks from the first flower opening. Stage 3: Mid Bud. The plant is about 1 to 2 weeks from opening the first flower. Stage 4: Fat Bud. The largest bud is now starting to get puffy. The first flower will be opening in less than a week. |
